{"id":2952,"date":"2019-07-25T22:07:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-25T22:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arianne-inc.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=1347"},"modified":"2021-12-01T22:13:05","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T22:13:05","slug":"arianne-advances-transport-logisitics-for-its-lac-a-paul-phosphate-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itremma.com\/arianne\/arianne-advances-transport-logisitics-for-its-lac-a-paul-phosphate-project\/","title":{"rendered":"ARIANNE ADVANCES TRANSPORT LOGISITICS FOR ITS LAC \u00c0 PAUL PHOSPHATE PROJECT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Optimization will reduce environmental footprint and lower costs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SAGUENAY, QUEBEC &#8211; (July 25, 2019) &#8211; Arianne Phosphate (the \u201cCompany\u201d or \u201cArianne\u201d) (TSX VENTURE: DAN; OTC: DRRSF; FRANKFURT: JE9N)<\/strong>, a development-stage phosphate mining company, advancing its Lac \u00e0 Paul project in Quebec\u2019s Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region is pleased to announce that its efforts surrounding transportation logistics have significantly progressed and will benefit the overall project and its economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As per its previously announced agreement surrounding trailer truck optimization (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arianne-inc.com\/en\/pressroom\/press-releases\/arianne-begins-rd-effort-to-integrate-aluminum-into-its-truck-trailers\">see press release dated March 6, 2018<\/a>), Arianne partnered with several parties to look at greater integration of aluminum into the truck trailer design.&nbsp; Through this initiative over the past year, Arianne and its partners have advanced a design that will be able to reduce the weight of the transport trucks and allow for a greater payload per run.&nbsp; Once integrated, this will result in fewer trucks on the road, increasing safety and reducing the overall environmental impact.&nbsp; As well, this design will bring about greater economies of scale, resulting in a reduction in the cost of transporting Arianne\u2019s phosphate concentrate to port and thus, the overall operating cost for its project.&nbsp; Already projected to be one of the lowest cash-cost producers of high-purity phosphate concentrate, this effort will move Arianne even lower on the cost-curve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOne of the ongoing goals of the Company is to continuously optimize our project,\u201d said Jean-Sebastien David, Arianne\u2019s Chief Operating Officer.&nbsp; \u201cOur work regarding the truck-trailer design with our partners is one such effort and, work to date has demonstrated that the new design will lower the required number of trucks on the road without effecting the overall amount of tonnage shipped.&nbsp; The benefits of this is multifold; it reduces our environmental footprint and will lower both our capex and our ongoing opex.&nbsp; This collaboration was a group effort and I would like to thank all our partners in this endeavor; the National Research Council of Canada, Alcoa Innovations, the Centre Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de recherche et de Development de l\u2019aluminium, the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de la vall\u00e9e de l\u2019aluminium, the Trans-Al Network, Mecfor and Groupe Alfred Boivin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arianne\u2019s work centered on project optimization is multi-fold and extends well beyond the operational side of the project itself.&nbsp; To that end, today Arianne is happy to announce the addition of Raphael Gaudreault to its team.&nbsp; Raphael will be assuming the position of Director of the mining sector and comes to Arianne after most recently serving as Manager Planning and Mining Performance at Arcelor where he was responsible for medium and long-term mine planning for one of North-America largest open-pit operation which includes life of mine planning and optimization, mining equipment calculations, financial and technical project evaluation and technical support to operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Qualified Person<\/strong><br>Jean-S\u00e9bastien David, P.Geo., Qualified Person by NI 43-101, has approved this release.
