SAGUENAY,\u00a0 QUEBEC\u00a0 – (May\u00a0 22,\u00a0 2014)\u00a0 – Arianne\u00a0 Phosphate\u00a0 (the\u00a0 \u201cCompany\u201d\u00a0 or\u00a0 \u201cArianne\u201d)\u00a0 (TSX\u00a0 VENTURE:\u00a0 DAN)\u00a0 (FRANKFURT:\u00a0 JE9N) (OTCBB: DRRSF)<\/strong>, a\u00a0 development-stage phosphate company advancing the\u00a0 Lac \u00e0 Paul\u00a0 Project in\u00a0 Quebec, is pleased to announce that preliminary results from its process optimization tests have yielded savings in the production costs of its phosphate concentrate.\u00a0 In its press release of February 12th<\/sup>, 2014, Arianne announced that it had engaged COREM in Quebec to proceed with an additional testing program for the phosphate ore from the Lac \u00e0\u00a0Paul zone.\u00a0 These tests were designed to optimize the process flow sheet for the deposit\u2019s different lithologies, optimize reagent use and consumption and, improve the concentrate quality all with the goal of decreasing production costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to\u00a0 Arianne\u2019s\u00a0 Chief\u00a0 Metallurgist Ghislain\u00a0 Goyette,\u00a0 \u201cAll the objectives of this new work were achieved or surpassed and the campaign has had a very successful outcome. Based on the finalized flow sheet, all lithologies from\u00a0 Paul can be readily beneficiated and can be produced with a lower MgO content and a higher percentage of P2<\/sub>O5 <\/sub>as compared to the concentrate considered for Arianne\u2019s October 2013 FS. Of added benefit, the test work allows the\u00a0 complete elimination of two reagents: starch and sulfuric acid, thereby significantly decreasing production costs and\u00a0 the environmental impact of the process.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\u00a0 Arianne\u2019s\u00a0 October 2013\u00a0 Feasibility\u00a0 Study,\u00a0 these two reagents represented costs of\u00a0 $3.91\u00a0 US\u00a0 per tonne of concentrate representing $10,862,000 per year over the 26 year project life or roughly $280 Million.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brian\u00a0 Kenny,\u00a0 Chief\u00a0 Executive\u00a0 Officer of the\u00a0 Company,\u00a0 said, \u201cThese results confirm the robustness of our optimized process design and an improvement to the already very high quality of the finished concentrate product. The elimination of reagents used in previous tests will now have a\u00a0 significant effect on our economics,\u00a0 enabling us to improve our operating costs and reduce the project\u2019s environmental impact.\u00a0 \u00a0 It\u2019s a\u00a0 win-win;\u00a0 a\u00a0 better product at a\u00a0 lower cost with less environmental impact.\u00a0 This news coupled with our increasing resource, as announced last week,\u00a0 makes this project even bigger and better than where it stood last October after the release of our very positive BFS.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tests, conducted on a bulk sample of 120 tonnes of ore, produced very strong results on the various lithologies of the deposit, on both laboratory and pilot plant scales. The optimized process flow sheet readily produces a high quality concentrate, containing very low contaminants, with all testing campaigns to date producing P2<\/sub>O5 <\/sub>recoveries in the 87\u00a0– 90% \u00a0 <\/sub>range. The P2<\/sub>O5 <\/sub>grade is also higher than in previous tests, some tests achieved a P2<\/sub>O5 <\/sub>concentration of up to\u00a040% as compared to 38.6% in the 2013\u00a0 test campaign which formed the basis for Arianne\u2019s Lac \u00e0 Paul project FS in\u00a0October 2013.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Testing will continue until the end of\u00a0May,\u00a0when a\u00a0five-day continuous pilot-scale test will be conducted on a\u00a0 representative sample of all deposit lithologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
